Construction started in December 2024 to build ten energy-efficient affordable homes as part of the B&NES Homes Programme. The project uses council-owned land to provide homes for local people in Keynsham.

Archaeological Discoveries at Danes Lane

During the early groundworks, the team uncovered old boundary walls and historic artefacts, including pottery, roof tiles, buckles, and a French counter token from 1380–1422. We worked closely with Foundations Archaeology, and all items are being documented and will be preserved in a local museum.

Construction Progress and Timeline

Foundations and drainage are complete. Workers are currently laying the base course. Timber frame construction will start in mid-October. The project is on track for completion by summer 2026.
